Tulum is a town on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It’s known for its beaches and well-preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city. The main building is a large stone structure called El Castillo (castle), perched on a rocky cliff above the white sand beach and turquoise sea. Near the ruins is the Parque Nacional Tulum, a coastal area with mangroves and cenotes (natural limestone sinkholes).

Amansala is Sanskrit named after the peaceful crystal clear waters of Tulum, and to this day it is still one of Tulum's most iconic, eco-chic boutique hotels. Amansala was founded on the belief that a true vacation is one where you come back looking and feeling better than when you arrived.

We are a full service resort that puts equal emphasis on indulgence as it does on the restoration of the mind, body and spirit. We believe in creating an experience that centers around the natural beauty and resources unique to Tulum. We use natural materials and resources to create simple yet beautiful rooms, a menu full of fresh delicious food and an atmosphere that feels more like staying at a friends beach house than a hotel.

Whatever you are looking for, it is our goal to create an experience that you will never forget where you can do as little, or as much as you want. Over the years, we have created a loyal following of guests who come to us to experience the best of Tulum, come see for yourself.

Amansala is one of Tulum’s first resorts and is recognized globally for our eco chic accommodations, world class yoga and fitness classes, unforgettable spa services and bohemian beach vibe.

This is what relaxed luxury looks like, Amansala Grande and Chica are just a one minute walk down the beach from one another with a total of 75 rooms between the two of them. A tranquil setting the embodies community, yet there is space to relax on one's terrace, our beautiful beach deck, or the sunset lounge where the jungle stretches as far as the eye can see. Perfect for stargazing, sunrises, sunsets, or soaking up some sun.

All cabanas are equipped with private bathrooms and sitting areas. Sleep to the soothing sound of the ocean and wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Rooms at AMANSALA are styled with our beautiful Eco-Chic beautiful bohemian feel.

Frequently asked

What airport do I fly into?

You will book your international ticket into and out of Cancun, Mexico

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. As all payments are non-refundable, the purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. There are a broad variety of policies and providers for you to choose from. Be sure to understand the fine print of the policy you select to ensure you know exactly what is and isn’t covered — especially if you are concerned you may need to cancel for COVID-19 / pandemic-related reasons which most carriers would cover only under a "Cancel for Any Reason" tier of coverage. IMPORTANT: in order to guarantee maximum coverage, most travel insurance providers require that you obtain a policy within 5-10 days of placing your initial deposit. Although International Yoga cannot advise on specific policies or providers, you may find this guide helpful.
