Why I practice Baptiste Yoga
I love the consistency, balance, and intentionality of the Journey Into Power sequence. This, along with the absence of music and mirrors, encourages a focus on breath and awareness of your body in space that is rare at most studios. Baptiste Yoga brought a calm and clarity to my practice that has beneficially impacted how I feel about myself, how I behave towards others, and how I live my life.

Why I teach Baptiste Yoga
I want to help others discover the power of Baptiste Yoga. A power not only to strengthen your body, but also to regulate the fluctuations of your mind. I have learned so much about my own body and brain through this practice, and want to share my knowledge, to give to others a gift that has been given to me, to be a conduit for something bigger than myself.

My promise to you
I will emphasize the continuous rhythm of breath in my teaching, in both active and passive poses, since I personally find it the most effective means of connecting to the inner peace and intuitive wisdom that we all have inside us. I will encourage you to challenge yourself in physical poses, but also respect your individual body’s needs. My goal in every class? To help you cultivate calm compassion, towards yourself and others.

In the woods, we return to reason and faith…Standing on the bare ground—my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space—all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent Eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or particle of God.
